
Thirty experts will participate in the IP Forum Sport in Valencia On 22 and 23 November Global Sports Innovation Center and Feria Valencia organized a global meeting on the impact of technology in the management of rights and sports content.
Thirty world experts in rights management and distribution of sports content will participate in the Sport IP Forum, an international event to be held in Valencia on 22 and 23 November and which is organized by the Global Sports Innovation Center and Feria Valencia.
These specialists come from companies in twelve countries around the world, including the major sports powers, as the United States, China, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and Japan. They include from representatives of leading companies in the distribution of content, such as Octagon, Mediapro and China Hupu; media of global reach, as Discovery Eurosport; agencies of youtubers like Primetimesports, and CricketSocial, creators of the first social network in the world for cricket, which is the second sport with more followers at a global level.
The Conference program has been articulated around four major areas that cover the challenges and most relevant trends the impact that technology is having on the field of intellectual property, rights and the creation and distribution of content sporting, which refers to events and competitions, both in affecting individual athletes. Covers issues such as e-Sports, the big data, the legal framework and the creation of value from intellectual property.
The Sport IP Forum agenda will be focused on day 22 in intellectual property in sports and entertainment.
They will participate representatives of Octagon, world leader in the sale of sports rights, with offices in 22 countries of the world; Microsoft Sports, technological partner of Real Madrid and LaLiga; PONS IP, firm specializing in the definition of strategies of management and defence of the rights of industrial property and intellectual leader in Spain, Europe and Latin America; and Mediapro, consolidated Group cone the leading Spanish management of sports rights and which will address the evolution of Mediapro Digital, its area of production and distribution of digital content. Hupu, the lead agency for distribution of content in China, the Discovery Channel Eurosport and KPMG will also be present.
Management of rights in singular sporting events and competitions will be one of the pillars of this day. This block will present the case study of the Volvo Ocean Race and how the transformation to the digital realm of Global Cycling Network, the content of the world most important cycling platform has been conducted. Garrigues will address the protection of trademarks and the phenomenon of the ambush marketing. The agency representing athletes and IMG, the ACB and Rethink Marketing content distribution will also participate in this block.
Second day
The second day, 23 November, will discuss intellectual property and rights of individual athletes and clubs. Gains Group, represented by the ex-marine and former owner of NFL Steve Gera equipment; Primetimesport, creators of the influential Football Transfer Review publication and pioneers such as representation of youtubers Agency; and CricketSocial, first social network in the world dedicated to cricket, will be present in this block, along with PONS IP, Octagon, Levante U.D., Valencia CF and TTSPRTS.
On the other hand, issues related to the production of content and the digital market will be raised. SportRadar will talk about economic data management potential, while the section of the e-Sport will be addressed by Ontier, which will discuss the European legal framework for this discipline on the rise, and H2K one of the teams of e-Sport with the greatest international impact. Seven Leagues, Microsoft Sports, CINFO & Blinkfire Analytics will also participate in this table.
In addition, the event will feature an exhibition space, in which companies will show how the latest technology applied to the sector can generate resources, regardless of the size of the entity.
