First 2019 Sony 4K HDR OLED TVs arrive in shops with the AG8 series

The AG8 series BRAVIA OLED 4K HDR TV brings deep black, rich colour and a wide viewing angle for a deeply satisfying visual experience. 65 and 55 models of the television will be available in European shops from May.

Sony Europe has announced pricing and availability for its AG8 series BRAVIA OLED 4K HDR TV in Europe. Select countries will be running pre-orders for the set, which is expected to hit retailer stocks in early May.

The AG8 television uses an OLED panel with 8 million self-illuminating pixels for unprecedented contrast and colour fidelity. It comes equipped with the 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme which incorporates three technologies: Object-based HDR remaster, Super Bit Mapping and Dual database processing - all working in unison to provide realistic picture regardless of whether you're watching a TV broadcast, streaming the newest series or enjoying a blockbuster from a disc. To top it off, the AG8 TVs feature Dolby Vision to faithfully convey content creators' intent in a home setting.

Thanks to its unique design and also an ingenious use of cutting-edge technologies in the sound department, the AG8 OLED TV delivers a truly immersive viewing experience. Sony's highly-acclaimed Acoustic Surface Audio with sound emanating directly from the screen itself brings a perfect unification of picture and sound unlike conventional TVs. For extra punch and design versatility, the AG8's stand can be rotated 180 degrees and raised to make room for an additional soundbar.

The AG8 series BRAVIA OLED 4K HDR TVs operate on Sony Android TV which supports a wide range of apps from Google Play , including YouTube , Netflix, Prime Video and more1. To make the TV and home even smarter, the AG8 has Google Assistant built-in2. Viewers can simply talk to the TV using Google Assistant to quickly plan the day, discover content, or to play TV shows, films, and more.
