2 March 2021 UKTV, one of the largest commercial broadcasters in Britain reaching over 18 million viewers a week, has promoted Kerry Goode to Director of Communications to lead the companys award-winning Communications Team.
Reporting to CEO Marcus Arthur, and working closely with Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer, Simon Michaelides, Kerry is tasked with growing the viewership and reputation of UKTV, its channels and programmes. She has also joined UKTVs Executive Leadership Team.

Im also looking forward to working closely with the wider marcomms division led by Simon Michaelides, to help deliver bold and innovative campaigns that increase the fame of UKTVs channels, programmes and brands.
Alongside her UKTV promotion, Kerry continues in her dual role for UKTVs parent company, BBC Studios, as Head of Communications, BBC Studios Distribution, UK. Her remit includes leading comms for several UK business areas including, publishing, live events, DVDs and digital downloads, music publishing, and licensed consumer products.
Kerry joined UKTV in 2012 as Senior Corporate Communications Manager before being promoted to Head of Network Communications, taking on responsibility for the corporate and internal communications teams. During her time at the broadcaster, Kerry has helped shape the reputation of UKTV as an originator of bold and ambitious programming, with an enviable mix of high-profile brands including Dave, Gold, Drama, Alibi, W, Eden, Yesterday and UKTV Play.
Prior to working at UKTV, Kerrys career encompassed extensive agency and in-house experience at Premier PR, Franklin Rae Communications, Professional Public Relations (NZ) and the BBC, working with brands such as Sony Pictures Television, A&E Networks, Nickelodeon, Doctor Who, Jack Daniels and 3M.
UKTV recently celebrated a year of growth and despite challenges related to the ongoing pandemic, 2021 will see the broadcasters biggest ever investment in original programming. Coming up on the network is a second series of ratings hit Traces and newly announced crime thriller Ragdoll on Alibi, a second series of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over on W, and The Vicar of Dibley: Inside Out on Gold, a retrospective that will take viewers on a joyous trip down memory lane.
In addition, the multi-channel broadcaster will be commissioning an anthology series written by underrepresented talent, made and performed by diverse groups, for entertainment channel Dave. It has also announced a pair of writers initiatives aimed at improving diversity within comedy and drama.
