TVG Network Advances to HD with Gra Valley Solutions

TVG Network, America's largest online wagering company and horse racing television network, has recently completed a studio upgrade from standard definition (SD) to high definition (HD) with the acquisition of live production solutions from Grass Valley, a Belden Brand.

TVG provides in-depth analysis and race coverage for its television viewing audience. With the purchase of two LDX Premi re advanced imaging cameras, three LDX Compact Premi re cameras and a Karrera Video Production Center switcher with K-Frame, the network can now deliver HD imagery and superior clarity to its horse racing viewers across the globe.

The leap from SD to HD digital was of huge importance to us because we're dedicated to delivering the highest picture quality possible. Built on Grass Valley's Xensium FT CMOS sensor, the LDX Premi re advanced imaging camera combines operational excellence and outstanding image performance in a software-upgradable platform. Optimized for a range of broadcast applications, the camera is fully compatible with Grass Valley's line of 3G transmission solutions. In its compact form, the LDX Premi re offers TVG a smaller form factor without compromising on quality, as the compact model contains all of the control features of a full-size LDX model. The Karrera switcher with K-Frame provides the network with the ability to configure full 3G 1080p50/60 HD support and draw on an energy-efficient solution that uses much less power than other video switchers in its class.
