Discovery Communications Delivers Innovation & Amazing Content

We are in the midst of a significant shift in how people experience their video content. No longer do we wait for our favorite shows to be broadcast primetime to our televisions on specific days of the week. Now, we choose when, where and on what device we want to watch our must-see shows.

Innovative original content programmers such as Discovery Communications are pushing limits of how content can be experienced through applications on mobile devices and set-top boxes (STBs).. Their recent launch of Discovery Go, a native app for iOS, Android, and OTT devices (Roku, Apple TV, etc), aggregates content from all Discovery networks including Discovery Channel, TLC, and Animal Planet. Viewers can now watch all of their favorite Discovery Networks programming using the Discovery Go app on every device.

The Discovery Go service is part of a broader TV Everywhere initiative that Discovery Communications has undertaken in an effort to maintain its high ratings with viewers. Discovery Go will not only broaden the reach of their content, but will also cross-pollinate content across audiences, exposing new genres of content to new audiences. Using TV Everywhere distribution model (AKA authenticated streaming) anyone with a subscription with a major cable subscriber can access Discovery content through the app.
