XE5 Media Group announced it has forged a relationship with TAPP, the newly-formed online video subscription platform, to design and implement a customized production, operations and broadcast engineering architecture to power TAPP's roster of micro-channels.
XE5 Media Group is an entertainment company specializing in building linear and non-linear networks, as well as the content that resides on those platforms. Clients include AT&T U-verse, Warner Horizon Television and the international satellite network, EbonyLife Television.
For TAPP, the challenge was to invent a scalable, next-generation digital production ecosystem, designing and installing facilities in a variety of settings - including private homes, offices, and legacy broadcast facilities - and then tying them together to enable remote real-time oversight, camera operation, switching, editing, review, and publishing.
XE5 was created to partner with companies in building new networks across multiple platforms and we are excited to help TAPP venture into this ground-breaking arena, stated Howard Bolter, President & COO of XE5 Media Group The TAPP platform synchronizes the latest streaming and production technology in innovative new ways that streamlines costs and workflow while delivering blow-away image quality across all devices.
We laid out a seemingly impossible pipedream, and XE5 coolly stepped up and took it beyond what we could have imagined, said Jon Klein, co-founder and CEO of TAPP. The experience and leadership that Howard Bolter and Mark Sonnenberg brought to this project positions TAPP perfectly to seize the opportunities that lie ahead in online video.
The first TAPP channel, New Life TV, debuted last month. It showcases nationally syndicated radio host Steve Arterburn, a human relationship expert who dispenses Christian-based advice to three million weekly listeners, covering marriage, anger, grief, anxiety, abuse, addictions and other issues. TAPP channels will continue to roll out in the coming weeks and months, featuring the nation's top thought leaders in the fields of sports, politics, relationships, entertainment, lifestyle, fashion, fitness and more, delivering daily content and up-close access to their most passionate followers.
