WRAL TechWire Live will dive into the topic of leadership in rural innovation at the upcoming WRAL TechWire Live event. Presented by Wells Fargo, the free event will take place at the NC Rural Center on Thursday, November 7, 2019, from 7:30am-10:00am.
You hear a lot of stories about innovation from companies based in NC cities like Raleigh, Durham and Charlotte, but what about rural areas of the state? WRAL TechWire will have some entrepreneurs sharing their stories.
The urban-rural divide is a topic of interest for all North Carolinians and the economic future of 80 of 100 North Carolina counties hinges on bridge building efforts being made to close gaps in such areas as broadband accessibility, infrastructure, workforce development, and education.
This special event features successful innovators from WRAL TechWire partner communities who are proving that innovation and disruption are possible and scalable outside the metro due in no small part to bridges being built by rural leaders, entrepreneurs, and every day people who wont settle for second-best in rural NC.
