Groundbreaking Remotes Feature Revolutionary Dual RF Board Technology, Combine 433-MHz RF and 2.4-GHz ZigBee Technology in One Device SHAKOPEE, Minn. - Dec. 2, 2010 - Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) today announced that the company is now shipping its T2-C and T3-V universal system controllers. Representing breakthroughs in remote technology, the new handhelds each combine 433-MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4-GHz ZigBee for bidirectional communication in one remote. Providing the ultimate control experience for users, the powerful next-generation T2-C and T3-V offer an array of best-in-class features from an OLED touch-screen and outstanding industrial design to custom button-engraving options and wireless Ethernet.
The T3-V and T2-C feature a revolutionary dual RF board technology that supports both 433-MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4-GHz ZigBee for bidirectional communication with RTI-compatible processors and supported third-party electronics such as music servers, lighting, and even Web-based RSS feeds for convenient weather updates. Providing dealers with a choice among technologies, RTI allows them to specify the T3-V and T2-C into any installation without worrying about the communication method or level of system sophistication required.
Sleek and elegant, the T2-C is the fourth generation of RTIs renowned T2 remote control platform. Now featuring the first OLED touch-screen ever used with a remote control, the unit provides a stunning, state-of-the-art, high-contrast display with an extremely wide viewing angle. The T2-C universal system controller represents a perfect example of style and function, blended seamlessly together. Featuring 35 hard buttons to provide tactile control of commonly used functions and a very modern and impressive industrial design, the T2-C is thinner, lighter, and far superior ergonomically for one-handed operation than is any other remote control in its class.
Representing the pinnacle of elegance, the T3-V is an extremely powerful controller wrapped in an attractive, contemporary design. The third generation of the award-winning T3 system controller, the T3-V is enhanced with an updated hard button configuration including five soft keys that allow for custom button-engraving options from RTI. The unit offers a 3.5-inch full-VGA touch-screen for eye-popping color while integrated 802.11b/g wireless Ethernet and a built-in Web browser allow the user to access Web pages and IP-addressable devices such as security cameras.

The T2-C and T3-V are programmed through RTIs Integration Designer software, so dealers can easily provide a completely customizable user interface for intuitive command over the entire electronics system. The remotes can be used as stand-alone controllers or, when used with other RTI devices, can be integral parts of an advanced control system, offering sophisticated features such as RS-232, IP or relay control, power sensing, and RF transmission through walls or cabinets.
