Actress Akhenime Mfenyane, who plays fan-favourite character Anathi Njoloza, and Thulani (played by actor Tembinkosi Ngcukana) will get engaged to other people after their steam kiss last week, according to the Gqeberha: The Empire February teasers.

ANATHI AND LUZUKO START WEDDING PLANS' The TVSA Gqeberha: The Empire February teasers also reveal that Anathi will continue with plans to marry Thulani's father Luzuko even after he declares his undying love for her.

Thulani declares his love for his father's bride-to-be.

Fans of the telenovela have revealed on social media that they prefer Anathi and Thulani to become an item as she's better off with him than his father Luzuko, who wants to make her his fourth wife.

The teasers also reveal that Thulani will plan to run away with his father's fiancee and that he will propose marriage to his current girlfriend (who he doesn't love) when his plans fail.

The Thursday 9 February teaser reads:

To mask his pain, Thulani proposes marriage to someone he doesn't love and shocks everyone.

The Friday 17 February teaser also indicates that Anathi will regret marrying Luzuko as the teaser reads:

Anathi fears for her life. She cannot stay married to Luzuko anymore.
