Industrial development brisk in Hangzhou Bay New Zone

In the assessment of the industrial clustering areas of Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou Bay New Zone has witnessed a new high for industrial development in the first half of this year. From January to June, the new zone achieved a total industrial output value of 63.11 billion yuan, up by 17.4% over the same period of last year, with the total output value of the large-scale enterprises standing at 51.92 billion yuan, up by 15.2%.

The new zone will take advantage of its advanced manufacturing to introduce more high-end manufacturing projects and launch a series of supporting policies to guide the transformation and upgrading and intelligent improvement of the existing traditional manufacturing and build it into a clustering area for advanced manufacturing, according to a person in charge from the Economic Cooperation Bureau of Hangzhou Bay New Zone.

In accordance with the 13th Five-year Plan, by 2020, the output value of the auto industry of the new zone will reach 150 billion yuan and attract over 120 auto projects (including services). In the first half of the year, the auto industry maintained a steady growth. Among others, the Ningbo Branch of SAIC Motor produced 142,000 cars, with an output value of 21.31 billion yuan and a profit of 2.745 billion yuan, up by 13.5%. According to CPCA, Lamando, the leading model of the SAIC Motor, realized a half-year sales of 71,342 vehicles, taking the lead in the Level A high-end vehicle market with an average monthly sales volume of over 10,000 vehicles. The base of the Geely Auto at the Hangzhou Bay produced 84,700 cars, with an output value of 4.23 billion yuan and a profit of 870 million yuan, up by 24.1% over the same period of last year.

The kitchen appliance industry, as a representative of the traditional manufacturing, has gradually changed the kitchen life of thousands of households. Fotile, a high-end kitchen appliance producer, has insisted on the user-centered concept and industrial upgrading driven by product innovation. In the first half of the year, Fotile Group achieved an output value of 1.92 billion yuan, up by 33.5%, with a profit volume of 370 million yuan, up by 40.1%.

The core technologies and the internet+ ideas have also brought about a new outlook for the Qinyuan Group, which has realized the management and brand enhancement by cooperating with the Unilever, and has developed such new industrial patterns as special water treatment. Statistics show that in the first six months of this year, the Water Treatment Technology Co. Ltd. of the Qinyuan Group realized a total output value of 475 million yuan, down by 30.7%. However, its profit stood at 22.23 million yuan, up by 510%. So far, the group has got 412 patent technologies, including 65 invention patents, 169 practical patents, 171 design patents, one US patent, three Japanese patents and three UN patents.

It is also worth noticing that Fotile and Qinyuan have realized steady growth in E-commerce. In the first half of the year, the two groups achieved the e-commerce sales of 660 million yuan and 252 million yuan, up by 31.2% and 36.1% respectively.
