Actor Abdul Khoza, who's popularly known for his roles in Isibaya and The Wife has impressed Shaka Ilembe viewers with his black pointy hairstyle, which resembles Goku from Dragon Ball Z.

ABDUL KHOZA BE LIKE GOKU' The talented actor Abdul Khoza plays the character of Cija alongside Wiseman Mncube, who plays Zwide, son of the feared Queen Ntombazi (Khabonina Qubeka) and King Langa (Don Mlangeni).

Cija like Zwide are shrewd and dangerous warriors who out-maneuver their adversaries with deft strategy and ruthlessness.

Cija's hair like Goku has become one of the most recognisable aspects of the anime character, as fans around the world are in love with his chaotic spiky look, which has now been brought alive in the Zulu drama series.

SHAKA ILEMBE' IS A HIT TshisaLIVE reports that the first episode of the Mzansi magic series Shaka Ilembe drew more than 3.6 million DStv viewers in South Africa.

The first episode hit screens last Sunday, 18 June also reached number one on the DStv App in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and other African countries.

Nomsa Philiso, who is MultiChoice CEO for general entertainment expressed her gratitude to audiences across the country and said:

In Shaka iLembe, our vision was to tell an epic African story, on a grand scale and with the depth and finesse that can only come from a substantial investment. That audiences have bought into this storytelling universe is deeply affirming because it aligns to our understanding of the market appetite for this type of content.

This is a story that builds frame by frame, scene by scene, episode by episode. Stars like Thembinkosi Mthembu, Hope Mbhele, Mondli Makhoba and Lemogang are still to be seen. So, in each episode going forward, fans can expect another layer of this remarkable story to be revealed.
