MOG Technologies, the worldwide supplier of end-to-end solutions for professional media, will be presenting the latest developments at NAB 2019, taking place 8 to 11 April, booth SU7510, at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. The focus will be in the latest advances taken for file-based workflows, the new analytics modules to track editing suites performance and workstations behaviour and the new OTT platform for video distribution.

Central Ingest and Transcoding

The unique mxfSPEEDRAIL central ingest system integrates with the most popular broadcast technology and formats, offering high traffic performance, great interoperability between platforms and efficient metadata sharing.

The mxfSPEEDRAIL is now supporting 8K workflows, HDR and HFR up to 240fps as both input and output, and new digital cinema sources such as ARRIRAW, Blackmagic RAW, Digital Cinema Package, Ikegami GFPAK, and RED Digital Cinema. The system is fully able to handle closed captioning formats, namely CEA-708, EIA-608, Scenarist (SCC) and SubRip (SRT). The added burnt-in graphic allows the insertion of any watermark, text, image, video, or company logo for faster delivery, and the loop recording capability on mediaREC model enables an uninterrupted recording by a period defined by the user, keeping the media available for instant access, then looping the feed and erasing the previously recorded material saving on storage space.

Integrating the traditional formats with the new streaming needs, mxfSPEEDRAIL is also supporting multiple Social Media channels as an input and output source, both for live streaming and for VoD. The integrations to the cloud include both consumer storage (such as Google Drive, iCloud, Adobe CS, Dropbox, WeTransfer and Microsoft OneDrive) and Enterprise Storage (such as Google Cloud Storage, Amazon S3 and Glacier, Tencent Cloud, and Microsoft Azure). mxfSPEEDRAIL mediaREC model is also completely interoperable with NewTek NDI .

Analytics for Production Management

The innovative analytics platform for control, management, and measurement of all production activities and resources has been updated with two new modules. mediaANALYTICS provides the best KPIs for media professionals to analyse and decide how should they improve their processing capabilities for their most valuable asset: the media. It does this by integrating with many media processing platforms, and providing valuable information about the files and the platform usage, with a specialized view over failures that will allow tracking where the problems lie.

editorsPerformance gives the power to get KPIs about the editing suites and editors, without trespassing into media professionals work. This information can then be used to discuss and propose workflow optimizations that will allow making better use of machines and human resources.

MOG IMF::SDK will ensure developers get the best from IMF applications and workflows, by generating IMF compliant media files.
