Josephine Bornebusch Creates, Directs and Stars in Netflix Feature Film Let Go

Netflix today announced Let Go (working title), a Swedish drama from acclaimed actress and filmmaker Josephine Bornebusch (Love Me, ORCA, Harmonica). Josephine will also be directing the film, as well as starring in one of the leading roles.

Let Go is a drama about finding out what really matters. In the center is Stella (Josephine Bornebusch). She has everything under control except her preschool son's constant need for attention, her daughter's teenage mood swings, and her emotionally unavailable husband. The family is about to break when Stella receives a message that changes everything. She decides to take a trip with her family where she has to achieve the impossible - to bring her family together again.

The film is created, written, and directed by Josephine Bornebusch: I have a penchant for writing about recognition, families, and life in its most ordinary moments - with all that it entails. Sorrow, happiness, love, and betrayal. I met with Netflix at a very early stage when this story came to me. They believed in the project as much as I did and encouraged me to dig deeper. I'm so happy that we're now realizing the film together, with the potential to reach far and wide. It's finally happening .

Let Go is set to be released globally on Netflix in 2024. Additional cast is yet to be announced.
