Trev Sword Appointed General Manager of Ikegami UK posted: 13/09/2017
Sword brings 20 years' experience to role heading up the UK, Ireland and Africa offices
Ikegami (www.ikegami.eu), the leading manufacturer of specialised cameras and image processing equipment in the broadcast and medical industries, today announced the appointment of Trev Sword to General Manager UK. Effective immediately, Sword is responsible for heading up Ikegami's UK, Ireland and Africa operations as well as managing all key customer accounts, system integrators and channel partners across the regions.
Sword brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to the role, having worked in the broadcast industry for over 20 years. Starting his career in the technical support team at Quantel in 1995, Sword progressed to team leader. From 2007 to 2014, Sword took the technical lead for all of Snell's global sales team, specialising in production switchers.
Sword's most recent role was as Technical Sales Manager for Shotoku handling all global sales. As Ikegami's General Manager UK, he will draw from his experience of leading the entire sales cycle, from technical demonstrations to project management.
Sword comments on the appointment, My extensive experience in global roles has equipped me perfectly to expand Ikegami in the UK, Ireland and Africa markets. Ikegami has a great legacy and I am honored to be given the opportunity to continue that.
Kenzo Ishizuka, President of Ikegami Europe, added, Trevor brings with him a tremendous amount of experience. His career thus far has provided him with a great understanding of broadcast workflows and the customers we serve. He's a great addition to the Ikegami team and is perfectly placed to expand Ikegami's presence in the UK, Ireland and Africa markets.
Sword will be on Ikegami stand 12.A31 at IBC2017.
