BACKENTERTAINMENT ONE MUSIC EXPANDS INTERNATIONAL FOOTPRINT WITH NEW OFFICES IN GERMANY AND AUSTRALIALondon June 5, 2017 Global independent studio Entertainment One (eOne) is pleased to announce that Noel Hedges will join the company as Executive Vice President of Acquisitions, eOne Television. The announcement was made today by Stuart Baxter, President, eOne Television International.

In this newly-created role, Hedges will focus on acquiring television product for distribution to all media outlets around the world across a broad selection of genres including drama, film, lifestyle, factual, series and formats. Working closely with eOne's development and production teams around the world, Hedges will source and secure premium scripted programming at the earliest stages to complement the studio's growing portfolio of world-class content, and will broaden eOne's network of international producer partnerships through his deep and wide-spread industry relationships.

Coming off of a momentous year, eOne's current lineup of original and acquired content now consists of over 42 series and long-form programs commissioned by over 20 different broadcast and cable networks including mega-hit THE WALKING DEAD, companion series FEAR THE WALKING DEAD and other major AMC and SundanceTV scripted series through the Company's exclusive multi-year distribution agreement with AMC Networks, as well as DESIGNATED SURVIVOR from eOne's The Mark Gordon Company; and eOne produced series ICE, YOU ME HER and ROGUE for DIRECTV; the upcoming SHARP OBJECTS, starring Amy Adams for HBO; MARY KILLS PEOPLE for Global/Lifetime; RANSOM from executive producer Frank Spotnitz for CBS/CORUS/TF1/RTL; GAP YEAR for E4/HULU; and CARDINAL starring Billy Campbell for CTV/HULU.

To build on that success, Hedges brings to eOne over 20 years of diverse industry experience, having worked closely with major producers, broadcasters and agents. Before joining eOne, Hedges served as Executive Vice President, Content at DRG Ltd, where he developed and oversaw the company's acquisitions strategy, bolstering their scripted catalogue and finding new opportunities to grow the business in a highly competitive market. Prior to that, Hedges held key senior roles at Cineflix Rights, Shine International, ITV Studios Global Entertainment Ltd, and BBC Television, among others.

The appointment is effective September 4, 2017. Hedges will be based in eOne's London office and will oversee teams in both London and Toronto.
