IBC2017: Digital Nirvana To Showcase Full Suite Of Media Management Products & Services
New closed captioning services among booth highlights
Fremont, CA, July 24, 2017 - Digital Nirvana, developers of innovative media management solutions, will introduce new services and showcase updated products to the European market during IBC2017 (International Broadcasters Convention) this September at Amsterdam's RAI Convention Centre (Hall 14, Stand P25).
Digital Nirvana's services provide an integrated, automated workflow for sports clipping, closed captioning, subtitling, caption synchronization, video logging, repeat audio detection, and metadata creation. Its Media Management Platform and suite of broadcast monitoring products establish a simple set up for content creation, capture, repurpose and delivery, while monitoring video and audio for quality and compliance.

Our services compile easy-to-understand, timely details for our customers that increase their ROI.
Being introduced at IBC is the ability to automatically generate sports highlight reels through Digital Nirvana's Automated Sports Clipping service. The clips automatically selected will represent a collection of highlights from a designated period or for the entire game. Digital Nirvana's sports clipping service automatically analyzes sports broadcasts in real-time and generates ready-to-publish clips of those highlights. It can also generate images and GIFs for customers' social media promotional activities. This service is the first of its kind - offering automated clipping with metadata and caption synchronization simultaneously, as well as an option for manually cleaning up caption text for increased accuracy and meeting compliance requirements.
Another launch from Digital Nirvana's services side of the company at IBC2017 will be the introduction of the AVID Interplay Connector, which enables video content owners who work with AVID Media Central to transfer media data securely to the cloud for generation of logs/metadata/transcripts with timecodes and receive them directly within the user's workflow.
Other service offering highlights will include demonstrations of the company's cloud-based Closed Captioning Solutions, Subtitling and Video Logging Services at the booth. Digital Nirvana's cloud-based Caption Synchronization service uses audio fingerprinting to automate near-live synchronization of live broadcast captions with the ability to revise the text. The company offers high-quality caption generation for all pre-recorded and online video content through an automated process over the cloud, with options to create multiple formats and integrate directly to the user's video platform. Automated speech-to-text conversion, coupled with state-of-the-art workflow and experienced captioners, reduces the time and cost to publish, provides better search engine discoverability while complying with broadcast guidelines.
With caption synchronization, the same captions from the broadcast are automatically used for online clips, explained Hindocha. Our service provides the synchronization and format conversion necessary to meet all requirements. It can also be used by production houses or streaming video providers to synch captions after editing content for air in multiple countries. With synchronization, they don't need to re-do the entirety of their subtitles and captions. Broadcasters looking to rebroadcast clips or montages can use our caption lookup service to retrieve captions from the original broadcast.
Online video providers (OVD's) and Subscription video on demand (SVOD) services can benefit from Digital Nirvana's Subtitling Service by utilizing its proven automated speech-to-text capabilities for increased efficiency and high-volume handling, along with its capacity to deliver multi-format or customized versions that can be integrated directly into their workflows. With Digital Nirvana's Video Logging service, media production houses and producers with large amounts of footage can improve their editing efficiency, as well organize content and the discoverability within their datacenters.
On the product side, Digital Nirvana will showcase its Monitor IQ Media Management platform, CAR/TS (Capture, Analyze, Replay - Transport Stream) transport stream recorder, AnyStream IQ for OTT monitoring and MediaPro for content repurposing.
The latest version of MonitorIQ media management platform delivers a full range of multi-channel signal monitoring, repurposing, logging, compliance and archiving functions; Version 5.0 features cloud-based recording and OTT stream monitoring functions with a user-friendly interface. It also includes HTML5 and HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) support, and incorporates the ability to record from Matrox's Monarch HDX streaming appliance.
CAR/TS records and monitors the transport stream and provides alerts on non-compliance, allowing users to cut segments and export sections of the transport stream for more detailed analysis. The solution also offers time-shifted playout for multiple time zone broadcasts and a disaster recovery solution for keeping a broadcaster's signal on-air with recorded content.
