TBS, Inc. Names Veronica Sheehan Senior Vice...

Veronica Sheehan has been named senior vice president of Global Network, Technology & Studio Operations, it was announced by Dan Darling, Chief Information Officer of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. Sheehan is based in Atlanta and reports to Darling.

In this newly expanded role, Sheehan has executive oversight of Turner Studios, U.S. Network Operations, and International Technology & Operations in the Latin America, Asia Pacific, and Europe, Middle East, Africa regions. She leads the global teams that provide 24/7/365 technical, operational and production support for TBS, Inc.'s entertainment, kids and young adult brands on television and other digital platforms. She oversees production, post production, visual effects, broadcast and multiplatform operations, sales operations, technology and engineering. Previously, Sheehan was senior vice president of Global Network and Technology Operations, a role she was promoted to in 2010, after serving as senior vice president of U.S. Network Operations since 2006. Sheehan joined Turner in 1999 as director of broadcast operations and later moved to Turner Studios, where she served as vice president of operations and original productions.

Her understanding of the evolving media landscape and talent for leading change make her the right executive to align synergies across global teams to move our business forward.

Sheehan is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the National Association of Television Program Executives, the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, and Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT). Among many achievements, in 2010 she was named Woman to Watch by WICT and is a graduate of its prestigious Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. In 2011, she was named Mother of the Year by Working Mother magazine. She is the founding chair of TBS, Inc.'s business resource group, Turner Women Today, whose mission is to inspire, encourage and empower women to achieve their full potential.
