RNE Debuts Lorquiana, new sound fiction that pays tribute to Lorca Scripted by Alfonso Latorre, original texts of Federico Garc a Lorca, realization of Mayca Aguilera and direction of Benigno Moreno will be broadcast from La Casa Encendida (Madrid) through Radio 3 and streaming.

The team of Fiction Sonora, RNE tribute to Federico Garc a Lorca and Margarita Xirgu with Lorquiana. V ctor Clavijo and Cayetana Guillen Cuervo protagonists of this new sound fiction to be released on 29 November, at 9 in the evening, in La Casa Encendida of the Montemadrid Foundation. The work also can be followed live on Radio 3 and streaming on the website of RTVE.

In the fall of 1926, the lives of Federico Garc a Lorca and Margarita Xirgu would be entwined for the history. That year, the immortal poet from Granada delivered the manuscript of Mariana Pineda, his second work of theatre, Catalan actress, one of the most important of his generation. At the time, Garc a Lorca has serious doubts about his career as a dramatic poet and family pressure, doubts if continue their efforts or follow the example of his brother Francisco, dump in the academic life.

Fortunately, Margarita Xirgu would lead to stage drama that gives Garcia Lorca, kicking off a successful personal and professional relationship thanks to which premiered most of the theatrical production of the poet. Despite its ups and downs, Lorca and Xirgu became a solid creative couple, probably the most prominent of the Spain of the 20 and 30 years.

RNE and La Casa Encendida pay homage to this pair of creators with a sound fiction that reflects this relationship that stretched over ten years and whose memory fed with devotion the actress after the poets death. Work gives to know a little more to the poet and his muse, and delves into the creative process of the main Lorca dramas, show trials and capital works as Barren, Blood wedding o The House of Bernarda Alba.

Lorquiana It is not only a tribute to Federico Garc a Lorca and Margarita Xirgu, it is also an opportunity to review the work of one of the greatest writers of all time, and to publicize the work of an immense and courageous actress. Throughout its history, listeners may be approaching a tumultuous period in the history of Spain and the fascinating Gallery of characters that surrounded the couple.

A journey that will take viewers on tour in the best theaters of Madrid and Barcelona, to attend trials, readings, premieres... And the hand of Xirgu and Garc a Lorca, live rural dramas, rough tragedies, violent farces, surreal lyrical and bitter heartbreaks.
