On the afternoon of Nov.1, Municipal Womens Federation, Municipal Ministry of Education and others held a Family Education Theme Forum on Good Family Traditions for a Building a Food Character. The citys Best families, represented by Zhang Menggui, Weng Wigan, Shao Li introduced their experience on maintaining a good family tradition. And they have one thing in common: they believe that the most important example is set by words and deeds of parents.

Zhang Menggui, a Yuyao City dweller, the treasurer of an old motor vehicle trading center, and concurrently vice president of Yuyao Wushu Association, has been the professor of martial arts for 30 years for over 2,000 people free of charge. She is also the Blood Donation Star of Yuyao, and she won the national gold medal of blood donation. Under her influence, her husband and daughter are also public-spirited with multiple times of blood donation. Zhang said that the formation of a good family tradition makes the parents words and deeds very important, and are ten times more effective than teaching their children. In our life, as she and her husband are enthusiastic people, so their daughter is also very eager to help when others encounter difficulties.

Weng Weigen, who lives in Zhenhai District after retirement, drew a family tree. In order to constantly remind future generations of the excellent qualities of older generations, Weng improved the moral standards of the family, developed family rules, and created a family song. Weng said that parents should set an example of good family tradition. His parents showed mutual respect and love for the entire life, dealt with difficulties by sticking together, and liked to do for the good. All this affected him, he and his wife Hu Ouer have been courteous to each other for decades, and when Weng was hospitalized, his wife kept company beside his sickbed, serving him tea and medicines and having him cleaned. Weng Wigan and his wife, like his parents, like doing good for the public by donating money to help the elderly in communities year after year after.

Shao Li, who lives in Haishu District, began to open the Fat Mama hotline in 1991. She persisted in providing solutions to doubts of teens and parents by hotline, QQ and other means of communication, solving some problems such as school boredom and runaway from homes. Her father and mother Shao Feng Yu Bo have participated in the revolution, his daughter-in-law a civil servant, Shao Wei Li and her husband Fei Wei retiring teachers to be. Meanwhile, some parents don't enforce house rules strictly because when in good moods, parents do not criticize the child even if he is in violation of the home rules, while in bad moods, parents do punish the child even if he does not violate home rules. As a consequence, kids will not tell right from wrong as they grow up.
