Make Noise Music introduce the GTE

Lastest New Universal Synthesizer System module announced

Make Noise Music have recently announced the launch of the latest addition to their New Universal Synthesizer System range, the Gestural Time Extractor, or GTE.

Designed for NUSS and standard Eurorack rigs alike, the new module derives up to eight individual channel pulses from signals arriving at its Span input, along with a pulse stream based on the speed of motion of the input signal and a pair of gate outputs that represent the activity at the unit's off and even channels. A Space parameter governs the threshold proximity of the channels, affecting the sensitivity and reactivity of the GTE and other outputs.

With the GTE's the Clock input in use, the module's output channel will only change upon reception of a trigger or gate signal, allowing for changes to easily be synchronised with other existing events in the system. The GTE is capable of operating as a Channel Index Translator for Make Noise Music's PoliMATHS - and other New Universal Synthesizer System modules that generate Channel Index signals - and can be used to generate repeatable, controllable rhythm and timing information from any analogue synthesizer signal. The company say that it's also useful for individual voice timing signal generation within a multi-voice NUSS system.
