Deciding to take his own life, after witnessing the murder of his wife and son in a diner, Abe Dale (Nathan Fillion) takes a bunch of pills and is saved at the last minute by medics at a hospital. But when he awakens he realizes that his near death experience has left him with the gift of spotting peoples auras and knowing when theyre about to die, as well as electronic voice phenomena- the ability to hear the sounds and messages of ghosts and spirits on electronic recordings. But after saving some people who Abe noticed the light in their aura, he finds out that the killer Henry Caine (Craig Fairbrass) who had shot his wife Rebecca (Kendall Cross) and son Danny (Josh Ballard) before turning his gun on himself and shooting himself in the mouth, had actually saved Rebecca and Joshs lives a few days before he killed them. Apparently, when you prevent someones death by seeing it, you start a chain of events that will end up costing more lives than you saved...
