Sky joins industry leaders to boost environmental performance

Sky is teaming up with 50 leading organisations from across the UK to work together to reduce the environmental impact of electrical products to benefit both consumers and industry.

The Electrical and Electronic Sustainability Action Plan (esap) will be led by WRAP, the circular economy and resource efficiency experts, on behalf of the UK government.

It will enable a new level of collaboration amongst organisation that design, manufacture, sell, repair, re-use and recycle electronic products, across the whole product life-cycle.

Sky alongside its fellow signatories will be focusing on implementing new business models such as take-back and resale and gaining greater value from reuse and recycling. These actions could significantly boost the UK economy as well as help future proof global resources.

The esap signatories will be unveiled today at WRAP's Resources Limited conference in London, attended by Sky and other signatories including Microsoft, Panasonic, Sainsbury's and Oxfam.
