The line My heart is, and always will be, yours from Sense and Sensibility has been voted the most romantic line from romantic literature, film and TV drama, ahead of Valentines weekend.
The study - which was specially commissioned by TV channel Drama to celebrate its Leading Man Weekend, which launches on Saturday 13th February - polled 2,000 British women to establish the top 10 list, with Hugh Grants line in the Oscar-winning film adaptation coming top with 16% of the vote.

The list also included Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same from Wuthering Heights which took fifth place and received 10% of the votes. At number eight was Far From the Madding Crowds Gabriel Oak (Alan Bates) line from the classic Thomas Hardy novel. Rounding out the top ten was the classic Pride and Prejudice line, memorably delivered by Colin Firth as the dashing Mr. Darcy from the 1995 TV mini-series: In vain I have struggled. It will not do.
