O2 Czech Republic ramps up its OB van fleet with a new Streamline S12T OB from Broadcast Solutions

The mobile network company O2 Czech Republic covers the country's major soccer league for a couple of years now. With additional games and projects being on the table the company added a new Broadcast Solutions Streamline OB van to its fleet, complementing an existing model systems integrator Broadcast Solutions delivered a couple of years ago. The new OB van is a S12T from the Streamline OB van family (based on a truck chassis) and works with up to 12 cameras (HD). As was the case for the first OB Broadcast Solutions again cooperated with Slovak partners ELEKTRONIKA a.s. and IVC s.r.o. to build and deliver the Streamline S12T to the customer.

For this OB Van Broadcast Solutions combined its field-proven Streamline concept together with customer specific needs, which were incorporated into the van. The Streamline S12T is designed as a truck/box body combination with one extension. Thanks to the perfectly fitting dimensions and thought-out room and workflow concepts, it offers space for up to 14 workplaces and can be operated with up to 12 cameras; a unique combination for OB vans of this size.

Broadcast Solutions established the family of Streamline OB vans years ago, thus turning the previously complex and lengthy development of an OB van into a vehicle in series production. Underpinning this approach, the company continually keeps chassis and components for the assembly of these OB vans in stock. All pre-planned Streamline models are characterised by short delivery times and significant cost advantages, as with this model.

The O2 Czech Republic OB truck can work with up to 12 cameras and was delivered with ten Grass Valley cameras. In addition a Grass Valley Kula 3 M/E vision mixer, EVS Slomo Servers and a Lawo mc256 are in place. Considering flexibility and interconnectivity options Riedels MediorNet (with 15 MicroN units) act as the routing platform. Combined with two video stageboxes, based on Riedel's Compact Pro and one audio stagebox, based on Lawo's Compact I/O the OB is perfectly equipped to be ready for all interconnectivity and upgrade possibilities. Talkback and intercom also depend on Riedel equipment. As the overall control layer all parties opted for Lawo's VSM-System.
