Comprehensive first-look deal: Seven.One Entertainment Group secures exclusive first right of access to all TV developments from John de Mols Talpa Concepts

Unterf hring, August 9, 2021. Seven.One Entertainment Group signs a comprehensive first-look deal with John de Mols TV content development company Talpa Concepts for the German TV market. The company thus secures exclusive first access rights to all formats developed or licensed by Talpa Concepts in the future. Seven.One Entertainment Group will also be the exclusive producer for all new Talpa formats in the TV markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The contract runs for several years.

With his successful formats such as The Voice of... he has developed worldwide TV hits - and also brought real TV highlights to our media group. As of now, the Seven.One Entertainment Group has the first pick on all future formats from Johns new creative production house. For our viewers, this deal is a real win, as it further strengthens our offering of first-class entertainment.

John de Mol, Talpa founder: The German market can count on new innovative content to enter the marketplace. About Talpa Concepts

After the sale of Talpa Media to ITV and the subsequent earn out period, John de Mol set up in 2020 a new company consisting of Talpa Entertainment Productions, Talpa Concepts and Talpa Distribution as the new home for his creative development, production and international exploitation of his content. In combination with Talpa Network - his separate Dutch cross media company consisting of amongst others free-to-air broadcast channels - this is a perfect way to build and accelerate new brands to the market which creates a unique position in the Netherlands. John de Mol, former founder of Endemol and Talpa Media, is known for his creations of global block busters like Big Brother and The Voice. The Voice has won four Emmy Awards. His last company Talpa Media, founded in 2009, was sold to ITV in 2015. ITV renamed Talpa Media to ITV Studios.
