October 28, 2014 Wowza Media Systems, LLC, provider of Simply Powerful Streaming software, today announced it has expanded its cloud deployment offerings to include Microsoft Azure Certified machine images, enabling customers of both companies to easily scale their streaming solutions. By being Microsoft Azure Certified, Wowza is now able to provide multiple pre-tested options for deploying Wowza Streaming Engine server software on Microsoft Azure.

Wowza's tested and reliable integration with Azure further enhances the Works With Wowza program to offer more options for deploying and scaling video streaming solutions. Using Wowza software in the cloud, customers can easily scale their video streaming needs based on available bandwidth and connections.
By achieving Microsoft Azure Certified status, Wowza is pre-tested and certified to work with Azure giving joint customers the confidence to deploy powerful streaming solutions, said Vibhor Kapoor, Director of Product Marketing, Microsoft Azure. With Wowza as an Azure Certified partner, customers can leverage the same enterprise-grade platform that powers Skype, Office 365, Bing and Xbox. Azure offers a 99.95% availability SLA, 24x7 tech support and round-the-clock service health monitoring to allow customers to leverage Wowza functionality to stream live or on-demand through the Microsoft cloud.
Customers can quickly and easily map a Wowza image to an Azure Virtual machine in the Azure Marketplace gallery. With Wowza as a certified partner, getting streaming solutions up and running only takes a few clicks.
