First North American Live Soccer Broadcast in 4K posted: 15/02/2016
Univision, NeuLion, NEP deliver 4K live stream on Sony TVs
NEP Group announced today that it provided broadcast production services for the first live 4K soccer broadcast in North America, which was streamed and delivered over-the-top (OTT) to Sony 4K Ultra HD TVs. Univision Deportes, the multimedia sports division of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), which also includes UDN, the number one Spanish-language sports network, delivered the broadcast in partnership with Sony and NeuLion, Inc.
The friendly match between Mexico's National Team and Senegal was held at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida on February 10th.

Univision Deportes' foray into the 4K space, a first for soccer in the U.S., is an example of how Univision Deportes continues to innovate and create the best possible soccer content for fans, said Juan Carlos Rodriguez, president of Univision Deportes.
NEP provided a 4K mobile unit, cameras with long sports lenses in native 4K, EVS playback 4K machines, a 4K VIZ graphics unit and a Sony multi-channel 4K hard drive recorder to archive the historic broadcast.
