Antes de la adquisici n de MatrixStore, Imagina US, con sede en Miami, USA, afrontaba varios problemas relacionados con el storage de Media propia y de clientes a los que Imagina US presta diferentes servicios.
Existian varios sistemas de almacenamiento dispersos con diferentes funcionalidades y con problemas de conectividad e integraci n con los diferentes sistemas de Ingesta, Postproducci n y Archivo.
B sicamente exist an dos Storages tipo NAS , no expandibles, en los que corr an numerosos servicios y prestaciones, manejadas sin ning n sistema de catalogaci n y posibilidades de b squeda m s all de Windows.
Tambi n gran parte de la media se encontraba oculta para los equipos de Marqueting y Programaci n puesto que estos storages no era accesibles para este personal por motivos obvios de seguridad.
Parte de la med a se encontraba en una infinidad de HDD externos y las dificultades para encontrarla y recuperla eran enormes.
Despu s de analizar el mercado, con la ayuda de nuestro partner tecnol gico para integraci n de sistemas, Unitecnic US, decidimos que MatrixStore era el sistema que id neo para solventar nuestras necesidades debido a la gran cantidad de aplicaciones que permit an integrar una capa de gesti n, catalogaci n y transferencia, DropSpot, back up perfecto de nuestros proyectos de postproducci n, InterConnect, y seguimiento y visionado de toda la media almacenado.
Nuestro nuevo storage nos permite servir a nuestros clientes en funci n de sus necesidades de manera ordenada y escalable.
Estos son los vaults que tenemos actualmente configurados y los servicios que corren sobre ellos.
Imagina archive: Imagina US tiene un amplio historial de producciones propias que van desde programas de Estudio, Telenovelas o Documentales. En el Vault Imagina Archive guardamos el fondo de producci n hist rica de la Compa a y todo el material de video y fotograf a institucional.
En este Vault tiene la aplicaci n VISION para el visionado mediante web de los contenidos almacenados.
Adem s una parte de este contenido es accesible desde el Portal de Media Shuttle utilizado en la oficina de Ventas Internacionales, ubicada en Madrid, Espa a.
Hemisphere archive: Hemisphere TV empresa a la cual prestamos servicios completos de Ingesta, Postproducci n, Emisi n y VOD tiene almacenado todo su contenido preparado para emisi n en Matrix Storage. Los responsables de Programaci n, Promociones y Marketing pueden visionar desde sus computadoras personales los contenidos de los cuatro canales de Hemisphere TV: Pasiones US, Pasiones Latam, Centro America Televisi n y Televisi n Dominicana on line mediante la aplicaci n VISION
Imagina ingest: Espacio destinado a la ingesta temporal de files originales antes de su procesado.
Est n aqu los materiales Originales llegados de los proveedores de contenidos, tanto por Hard Drive como por descarga directa mediante los servicios de transferencia de ficheros tales como Aspera o Media Shuttle, con quienes OM tiene una perfecta integraci n.
P2: Vault utilizado para la ingesta de material en bruto, mayoritariamente rodajes, tanto los de producci n propia como los de servicios prestados. En Matrix Storage se guardan todas las copias de seguridad de los rodajes sabiendo que ya nunca m s se perder n por accidente.
Imagina Park Media: Espacio de guardado de material de postproducci n desde Interplay AVID procedente de la aplicaci n Interconnect. Gracias a Interconnect todos los proyectos de postproducci n importantes de la compa a est n guardados listos para su reedici n. Cualquier material que se quiere reformatear est listo para reedici n en pocas horas gracias a este espacio utilizado a modo de near line en Matrix Storage.
Hemisphere park media: El mismo servicio que con IMAGINA PARK MEDIA preparado para albergar las promociones de Hemispher TV.
INT HOLA TV: Vault destinado al intercambio de material, promociones y programaci n, entre los equipos de Miami y Madrid de Hola TV. El sistema de transferencia utilizado es Media Shuttle y el equipo de Media de Hola TV en Miami tiene acceso directo por Mxfs al contenido subido por el equipo de Madrid de la misma manera que pueda exportar directamente en este Vault.
VOD Storage: Espacio destinado a el almacenamiento de files procesados y listos para VOD. En este Vault disponemos de varios Watch folders y out folders de Vantage.
Interchanger: Espacio de intercambio de todo tipo files, fotos, audio, video entre los entornos ofim ticos y t cnicos. Todos los clientes de Imagina: Bein Sports, DIRECTV, Hola TV y Hemisphere, utilizan este servicio ejecutado mediante FTP. Manejado por Filezilla server funciona por grupo de usuarios, desde donde se gestionan permisos y accesos a los diferentes destinos. El interchanger est configurado por ser el m todo de intercambio y no un storage, por lo que peri dicamente se limpia para no acumular mucho espacio y n mero de ficheros. Cada usuario tiene configurado sus niveles de acceso y lectura y escritura.
En este vault se encuentra la mayor a de Watch Folders de Vantage, nuestro sistema principal de Transcoding.
Aplicaciones de MatrixStore:
MatrixStore tiene varias aplicaciones corriendo sobre l.
InterConnect: Mediante la aplicaci n InterConnect podemos guardar, secuencias, ingestas, clips fuera del storage de ISIS de Avid pero guardando toda la metadata, de manera que en cualquier momento se puede recuperar y reeditar cualquier contenido.
Vision: Vision permite el visionado en Low Res de los contenidos y la descarga en Local de todas las resoluciones guardadas. Mediante un link, todo el personal conectado desde IP del Grupo Imagina MediaPro puede visionar y descargar los contenidos guardados.
MXFS: MXFS permite montar directamente por samba, como disco local, los diferentes Vaults de Object Matrix.
