Andre Lopes Steps Up to Helm Qube Labs
With his impressive 16-year tenure at Qube, Andre Lopes is stepping into the role of Director at Qube Labs. Having previously served as the Product Manager for Digital Cinema Servers, Andre has been instrumental in steering a multitude of product innovations. In his new capacity, Andre will be responsible for leading Qube Labs research initiatives and forming strategic partnerships with academic institutions and independent researchers in the field of media technology.
Erik Weaver Comes Aboard as Advisor, Innovation and Outreach
Erik Weaver, a specialist in the intersection of cloud technology, on-set virtual production and the media and entertainment industry, is joining Qube Labs as Advisor, Innovation and Outreach. Eriks role will be pivotal in supporting the development of generative AI and other advanced filmmaking technologies, further bolstering Qube Labs commitment to innovation.
Rajesh Ramachandran, CTO of Qube Cinema, shared his enthusiasm about the establishment of the new division: Andres long-standing commitment to Qube and his profound understanding of the media technology landscape, combined with Eriks extensive knowledge in the intersection of innovation technology and entertainment, form a powerhouse team.
