Actress Nothando Ngcobo who recently joined SABC 1's soapie Uzalo as Hlelo, stated in an interview with Daily Sun that viewers are in for a crazy ride with her character.

She hinted that the woman viewers are currently seeing isn't who she is.

She promised viewers that they will see her grow and change from the girl they were introduced to.

NGCOBO'S DEBUT ON UZALO' Ngcobo's character was introduced to Uzalo viewers as a village girl that rescued Gabisile (Baby Cele) at the river.

Her character, Hlelo, is misleading as she comes across as sweet and angelic, but is a broken woman.

There is a broken woman who does things people would not expect, she said.

The 26-year-old actress, stated that her big break was for a Daily Sun movie, titled My 4-5 Just Sleeps.

The KwaZulu-Natal-born actress, has also appeared on 1Magic's Lingashoni where she played the role of Prudence, alongside legendary actors: Muvhango's Liteboho Molise and Scandal!'s Patrick Mofokeng.

Fans of the actress will also be delighted to know that she's been nominated for Best Newcomer actress at the Simon Sabela KwaZulu-Natal Film and Television Awards for her YouTube movie called The Swallow Falls On.

HLELO'S STORYLINE She was brought to KwaMashu by Gabisile and was given a fresh start from her abusive husband.

She is currently working as a waitress, at Nkunzi's (Masoja Msiza) restaurant and hasn't been feeling well lately.

Hlelo has no idea that she is in fact pregnant with her estranged husband's baby.
