M s de 7.000 personas, un millar m s que en la pasada edici n, han asistido a las proyecciones y actividades organizadas por Screen Tv, muestra organizada por el Festival de M laga, dedicada a las series internacionales de televisi n, que se ha celebrado del 1 al 5 de junio teniendo como sede principal el Cine Alb niz de la capital de la Costa del Sol.
Estrenos absolutos en Espa a, adelantos de nuevas temporadas, formatos televisivos y los cap tulos m s importantes emitidos en los ltimos meses han formado parte de la programaci n de Screen TV 2016, junto a las actividades paralelas en la calle Alcazabilla, que han atra do a miles de visitantes tanto en la Zona Freak de juegos de mesa, videojuegos y cosplay -en numerosas actividades organizadas por el colectivo Fusi n Freak- como en los sets de algunas de las series m s populares de televisi n, como Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black and Penny Dreadful. Y todo ello con el apoyo de canales y cadenas de prestigio nacional e internacional: Movistar , TNT, AXN, FOX, Calle 13, Syfy, AMC, Atresmedia Televisi n y RTVE.
Screen TV 2016 ha ofrecido de forma gratuita 13 series de televisi n, con la emisi n de 24 horas de proyecciones dedicadas a dar a conocer lo m s interesante de la producci n actual para televisi n y pel culas relacionadas con algunas de las series programadas. Entre los contenidos, estrenos absolutos (Satisfaction, de Atreseries; Outcast, de FOX; y Devious, de TNT), primeros episodios de temporada (Shades of Blue and Aquarius, de Calle 13; iZombie, de AXN; Penny Dreadful and Mr. Robot, de Movistar ; y Hap and Leonard, de AMC), revisi n de series actuales (Big Bang, de TNT), episodios especiales (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, de SyFy) y episodios recientes de series como Fear the Walking Dead, de AMC.
En cuanto a los canales en abierto, Atresmedia ha presentado su nuevo canal de series, Atreseries, con la proyecci n en exclusiva de su serie Satisfaction. Por su parte, RTVE present , con parte del elenco de la serie, Medical Center, un exitoso formato diario de docu-ficci n de La 1.
Adem s de algunas de sus ltimas novedades en series, Movistar ha tra do a M laga el documental de Spike Lee Michael Jackson: de la Motown a Off the Wall y dos de sus nuevos formatos televisivos: AcapelA and Marathon Man, ambos programas que emite en su canal #0 y que fueron presentados en un divertido acto en Muelle Uno.
One of the novelties of this year has been Influences, un ciclo de cine cuyo objetivo es reflejar la repercusi n narrativa, tem tica y est tica de las series de televisi n en el cine y viceversa y que se abri el mi rcoles 1 con la proyecci n gratuita en la calle Alcazabilla de This is it.
En las jornadas #Trends, diferentes especialistas abordaron en el Auditorio del Museo Picasso M laga, el Cine Alb niz y el Hotel Molina Lario una aproximaci n a la sociedad desde la ficci n televisiva. La segunda edici n de las jornadas se ha centrado en el fen meno de las series como cultura, un fen meno en torno al cual el individuo contempor neo articula parte de la realidad y sus circunstancias; as como su influencia en el presente y las diferentes disciplinas art sticas.
