Recognized for originality and innovation, Visnen credits entire Blancco team, moves on to world competition in Monte Carlo
JOENSUU, Finland, November 6, 2012Blanccos CEO and founder, Kim Visnen, was named winner of the 2012 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition in Finland. He will represent Finland in Ernst & Young's World Entrepreneur of the Year award finals in Monte Carlo in June 2013.
In presenting the award, Ernst & Young competition judges praised Blancco, the global leader in data erasure and end-of-lifecycle solutions, for its original concept and innovative business idea, noting that the Joensuu-based company has grown into a global pioneer and market leader. In addition, the judges observed that the company has huge growth potential worldwide. Blancco's list of global reference customers is also outstanding.
Visnen, who represented the company at the awards ceremony, said that recognition should be given to the entire Blancco staff for 15 years of hard work. This year we are celebrating our 15th anniversary as the global leader in data erasure, he said. So to have earned this recognition from Ernst & Young is exciting and underscores the success that all of us have helped build for the company, our clients and our partners.
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year is an annual international award to promote the successful growth of entrepreneurs who inspire vision, leadership and achievements in others. Last year's World Entrepreneur of the Year award went to Thailand's Olivia Lum, founder of Hyflux, one of the worlds leading desalination suppliers with operations and projects in Southeast Asia, China, India, the Middle East and North Africa.
