Channel 5 and Comedy Central join BritBox line-up

ITV today confirmed that a deal has been struck between Britbox and Viacom-owned Channel 5 and Comedy Central which will see hundreds of additional hours of both channels' best British content available on Britbox from launch. The deal brings high quality factual and entertainment content from Channel 5 plus original British comedies from Comedy Central UK.

Under the deal, box-sets from Channel 5 can appear on BritBox following a 30 day catch-up window on the My5 service.

This strengthens the already impressive line-up of content expected on the service including Victoria, Happy Valley, Broadchurch, Les Miserables, Downton Abbey, Love Island, Famalam, Cleaning Up, Gentleman Jack, Gavin & Stacey, The Office and Benidorm which will be on the service at launch or come onto the service shortly after when licences with other SVODs end. BritBox will be available for £5.99 per month in HD and across multiple screens and devices.
