Telos Alliance Fields Four at 5 S Convention; Frank Foti, Tim Carroll, Greg Shay, John Biet to Present Papers in NYC

A full crew of audio experts from The Telos Alliance will be speaking at this years International AES Convention in New York City.

Omnia Audio founder Frank Foti will participate in two panel discussions on October 17. In Listener Fatigue And Retention, Mr. Foti will discusses the correlation between audio processing and listener TSL; in Loudness Control For Radio And Internet Streaming, he will examine methods of optimizing streaming audio for maximum listener enjoyment.

Alliance CTO and Linear Acoustic founder Tim Carroll will address the opportunities and challenges of advanced encoding schemes in The Sound Of The Cloud: Audio Implications Of Multi-Platform Delivery. Mr. Carroll will also be a featured panelist for the Television Loudness And Metadata, Audio For 4K TV and Audio For Mobile TV sessions.

Greg Shay, the Alliances Chief Science Officer, will be speaking on what is predicted to be a hot topic: X192/AES67: How The New Networked Audio Interoperability Standard Was Designed. The discussion will include inside details from Shay on the making and contents of the new AES67-2013 standard. Shay will also be a panelist on the Is It Time To Retire The MP3 Protocol For Streaming? and Modern Audio Transportation Techniques For Remote Broadcasts panels.

John Bisset, Director of Western Sales for The Telos Alliance radio division, will serve as the panel Chair for Maintenance, Repair, And Troubleshooting, an expose on the secrets to finding and fixing problems within the broadcast plant - as well as ensuring that they dont reoccur.

All of these presentations and panel discussions will take place during the 135th AES Convention, October 17-20, 2013 at the Jacob Javits Center, New York City.
