(12/08/2014) NEP announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all assets from Portland-based remote production facilities company, MIRA Mobile Television (MIRA). This transaction, which is expected to be final on or near August 28, 2014, will integrate MIRA into NEPs US Mobile Units operations. MIRAs nine HD mobile production units will join NEPs fleet of over seventy HD units worldwide, and their renowned engineering and support staff will become part of NEPs team of top experts.
MIRA and NEP have had a great relationship over many years. They have a truly talented team and I am excited to have them join NEP, says NEPs CEO Kevin Rabbitt. In addition to their exceptional reputation supporting major national broadcasters, they bring great experience and resources dedicated to supporting regional sports and corporate clients, and will be key to our continued growth in these important markets.
MIRA President, Dale Johannesen, will stay on focusing on developing NEPs business in Canada, further expanding their presence across North America. Frank Coll, director of operations and business development, will continue on with NEP as a senior account manager to oversee key West Coast client accounts. In addition, MIRA GM, Frank Taylor, will continue as part of the team to help with the transition.
Joining NEP will provide a great opportunity for MIRAs clients and employees, who will now have access to NEPs industry-leading pool of support, resources and expertise, adds Dale Johannesen. I am excited that MIRA will become a part of such a dynamic, experienced, and truly international team especially given our similar cultures centered on delivering excellent client service.
MIRA will join NEPs worldwide network, which includes operations across the United States, United Kingdom and Australia offering solutions for remote production, studio production, video display and host broadcasting.
