SGL, a provider of content archive and storage management software for media and entertainment, has announced that it is an approved archive provider for Square Box s CatDV MAM solution. The middleware connecting SGL FlashNet and CatDV was developed by North Shore Automation (NSA), a software development and digital asset management consultancy, and Square Box partner. The joint CatDV and SGL solution has been sold and installed by file-based systems integrator Cutting Edge Audio & Video Group based in San Francisco and Los Angeles to customers including the San Francisco 49ers, Philippines broadcaster ABS-CBN and Intel Corporation.

CatDV integrated with SGL FlashNet provides small-to-medium sized broadcasters with a highly cost-effective MAM and archive solution. Bryson Jones, Founder, NSA recently demonstrated the combined solution on the Square Box booth #SL5025 at NAB 2015. With a simple mouse click operators can archive and restore to and from the FlashNet archive using the CatDV Pro interface. The NSA integration connects a CatDV Server using CatDV s REST API. The integration delivers the reliability and scalability of FlashNet with quality search and organisation abilities provided by CatDV.
