Seasoned actress Nothando Ngcobo, who plays the role of Hlelo in Uzalo says he future ambition as a TV presenter has made her ignore love proposals from men.

-- UZALO HAS MADE ME MORE ATTRACTIVE' The popular actress Nothando Ngcobo, who became popular for playing Sbu's love interest Hlelo in Uzalo revealed in an interview with Daily Sun that she doesn't want to lose focus because of all the attention.

I'm still young in the industry and have big dreams. I don't want to lose focus that's why I ignore all the inboxes on social media of men who want to go out with me.

Ngcobo adds that the fame she gained from playing Hlelo has attracted attention from men.

Some say they find me attractive while others say they find me intelligent. Men say a lot of good things. Well, I choose to ignore it because I don't want to find myself in a compromising position. I know what I want and I work hard to get it.

PLAYING HLELO Her popular character is involved with singer-actor Simphiwe Majozi's character Sbu but will cheat on him with Njeza this month, according to the TVSA teasers.

The July teasers also reveal that her character will regret cheating on Sbu with his best friend and the pair will keep their one-night stand at the beach a secret.

Sbu and Hlelo are not on speaking terms at the moment because of his spending habits.

The actress also reveals in the interview that she enjoys playing the role as she has something in common with Hlelo.

Hlelo is a hard-working woman who doesn't like things. She is humble and wants only the best for herself. I'm like that and I don't want to depend on anyone, that's why I make sure I work hard and am careful not to lose focus.
