Netflix Shines at the 28th Busan International Film Festival with Stellar Lineup of Five Must-See Films

[Photo Courtesy of Busan International Film Festival] Netflix is set to captivate audiences at the 28th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) with a diverse selection of five exceptional films. The festival, which started yesterday, promises to be a cinematic extravaganza.

The lineup includes eagerly anticipated Korean movies like Ballerina and Believer 2 as well as the documentary Yellow Door: '90s Lo-fi Film Club' directed by Lee Hyuk-rae. Adding to the excitement, the festival screens will feature the latest masterpiece from renowned director David Fincher, titled The Killer, alongside the Indonesian sensation Cigarette Girl.

Ballerina and Believer 2 are scheduled to make their world premieres in the exclusive "Todays Korean Cinema - Special Premieres" category. These debuts will be accompanied by insightful open discussions and Guest Visit (GV) events with the directors and lead actors.

Offering a nostalgic journey into the world of early cinephiles in Korea, Yellow Door:'90s Lo-fi Film Club provides a unique glimpse into the early filmmaking days of acclaimed director Bong Joon-ho and how that era shaped his work.

Before the festival's grand opening ceremony, actors and directors were invited to participate in an exclusive pre-reception event, adding to the glamor and excitement surrounding the festival.

In addition to these screenings, Netflix is hosting an event titled "NETFLIX IN BUSAN" at the Think Coffee Centum City store. Attendees can look forward to immersive photo opportunities, exciting exhibitions and exclusive film memorabilia. Collaborating with the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) and the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA), Netflix will also present a special session titled "The Journey of Korean Creators with Netflix," shedding light on the future of K-Content, providing valuable insights into the creative process and the evolving landscape of the entertainment industry.

Furthermore, Netflix is actively participating in BIFFs "Industry Connection" program, which aims to foster connections between emerging Korean directors and industry leaders. This commitment underscores Netflix's dedication to nurturing and contributing to the promising future of Korean cinema.
