Sequoia enters integration with the purchase of 55% of BGL Sequoia joined its portfolio company audiovisual engineering company specialising in international projects with high added value, having developed flagship projects in Russia, Turkey, Nigeria, or Qatar. It has permanent presence in the Maghreb through its subsidiary BIP Systems.

Group Secuoyto has acquired 55% of BGL Audiovisual engineering, companys long history and specialized in the design and execution of audiovisual projects of high added value and comprehensive innovation profile. BGL has a relevant and diversified portfolio of domestic and international clients, including important channels of television, theatres, museums, concert halls and universities in half a dozen countries.

The operation is designed as a direct acquisition by the Sequoia group of 55% of the capital of BGL to original shareholders of the company, the family, Gil P rez. Both partners have reached an agreement to provide additional funds to promote the plan of growth and international expansion of BGL.

Through this transaction, Sequoia continues its growth and sectoral aggregation process initiated after the incorporation of the venture capital n 1 Mercapital to the shareholders of Sequoia in October 2012.

Founded in 1968, BGL is specialized in the design of audiovisual broadcast engineering projects (facilities TV and radio, post production and editing of news, continuity, virtual scenery, ENG completo,...), having diversified its activities in recent years towards a type of projects with added value where the technological and innovative component is key.

Internationally, the company has managed to position itself as a benchmark in audiovisual engineering, as emblematic as the Boris Yeltsin of Yekaterinburg museum projects (Russia; currently in execution), the Museum of history of Qatar, Russia Pavilion at the Expo in Korea 2012, the Museum Library of Nigeria or the exhibition Treasures of Aga Khan in Istanbul (Turkey). In the same way, it develops its business in Algeria and other countries of the Maghreb through its subsidiary BIP Systems. This positioning allows Sequoia to expand its operations to many countries on several continents, thus fulfilling one of the main strategic objectives of diversification of the group.

Equally, the BGL group has made very relevant technical implementations in operators of communication in Spain (Telemadrid, Aragon Radio...), public institutions (Assembly of Madrid, Cortes de Arag n, Cortes Valencianas, parliaments of Andalusia, Extremadura, La Rioja and Navarre...), Palacios de Congresos (Catalonia, Valencia, Kursaal in San Sebastian, Huesca, Tarragona...), theatres (theatre of the Canal in Madrid, Teatro Real de Madrid, theater box Granada...)Universities (Zaragoza, Polytechnic University of Valencia), hotels (Habitat Sky in Barcelona, ME Madrid, Mandarin Oriental Barcelona, Meli Castilla in Madrid...) and other various customers.

Outsourcing in regional

Another notable strategic aspect is the fact that BGL exploits 8 joint ventures and two joint ventures (in association with partners as relevant as the Herald group) through which provides outsourcing services to clients such as RTVE, Canal Sur, IB3, or Arag n Televisi n.
