TO OFFER VIEW FROM THE C-SUITE AT SCTE CABLE-TEC EXPO 2013
Panelists to Provide Multi-Dimensional Look at Service Delivery, Innovation
SEPT. 12, 2013 (Exton, PA) A cross-section of leading C-suite executives Cox Communications President Pat Esser, Comcast Executive Vice President and COO Dave Watson and ARRIS Chairman and CEO Bob Stanzione will exchange views on how cable system operators and vendors can partner to provide new services and competitive strategies during the Opening General Session of SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2013 on Tuesday, Oct. 22 in Atlanta.
Watson and Stanzione will engage in a discussion moderated by Esser about how the delivery of new services requires a team effort, both between operators and vendors and across multiple levels within individual companies. The conversation is expected to touch on how technology team members can help the industry to create the new products and services including multiplatform content delivery, cloud services, Wi-Fi hotspots and other initiatives that can increase revenue, brand stickiness and customer satisfaction. In addition, the panelists are expected to share their visions of the future with Cable-Tec Expo attendees.
"Envisioning, creating and executing new services requires contributions from every part of the cable operator's organization and tight coordination with vendor partners," said Daniel Howard, executive vice president and CTO of SCTE. "The distinctly different points of view that Pat Esser, Dave Watson and Bob Stanzione bring to this panel will enable our attendees to understand better what new services are on the horizon and the collaboration that will be needed to make them a reality."
The panel will be part of a wide-ranging Opening General Session that also will include a keynote conversation between NCTA President & CEO Michael Powell and Kevin Hart, executive vice president and CTO of Cox Communications and chairman of the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo Program Committee. The Opening General Session also will include a network operations panel moderated by Comcast Cable Chief Network Officer and Executive Vice President John Schanz. The network operations panel will feature: Yvette Kanouff, executive vice president, corporate engineering and technology, Cablevision Systems Corporation; Guy McCormick, vice president, engineering, Cox Communications; Matthew Stanek, senior vice president of core, regional, metro and network operations, Time Warner Cable; and Marwan Fawaz, partner with Sarepta Advisors.
SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2013 is set for Monday through Thursday, Oct. 21-24. Two pre-conference symposia, "DOCSIS 3.1 Engineering" and "Creating the Cable Generalist," will be conducted on Monday, Oct. 21. SCTE Cable-Tec Expo and the symposia will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
