Seg n el macroestudio Media Vision 2020 que Ericsson ha llevado a cabo, el consumo de TV bajo demanda igualar al de emisi n en directo en el a o 2020. En esas fechas, m s de 8.000 millones de usuarios disfrutar n de banda ancha m vil y 1.500 millones de hogares contar n con televisi n digital. La visi n de la Sociedad en Red ser un hecho con m s de 50.000 millones de dispositivos conectados, de los que 15.000 millones permitir n el acceso a contenidos multimedia y circular n sobre redes IP dominadas por el tr fico de v deo.
Partiendo de estas premisas, la visi n estrat gica de Ericcson, que estos d as comparte con los profesionales que visitam BIT Broadcast 2014, describe c mo la televisi n y el sector de los medios evolucionar n en los pr ximos seis a os y muestra que la industria de la TV estar valorada en unos 750.000 millones en el a o 2020.
Ericsson se presenta por vez primera en esta feria con todo su potencial para llevar a cabo integraci n de sistemas y servicios audiovisuales para broadcasters, empresas de media y operadores.
Chema Casaos, director de Soluciones y Servicios en Ericsson Iberia, reconoce a Panorama Audiovisual que uno de los grandes objetivos de la compa a es ofrecer un ecosistema para que el consumidor disfrute deuna experincia sencilla y enriquecida y para que, por otro lado, las empresas productoras y broadcasters puedan gestionar sus proyectos de forma gil y sencilla. En Ericsson trabajamos para que cuando un usuario pida un v deo en cualquier dispositivo, se le entregue con la m xima calidad y que, por otra parte, el productor o broadcaster tenga todas las herramientas necesarias para la adquisici n, intercambio, gesti n y distribuci n .
En BIT Broadcast, Ericsson muestra nuevos productos para compresi n, distribuci n y codificaci n, destacando la codificaci n virtual en cloud y el uso de redes no gestionadas.
En estudio y contribuci n, la propuesta de Ericsson para un entorno totalmente IP capaz de gestionar cientos de se ales y redes.
Ericsson is carrying out numerous demos and workshops for clients, among which is the connection with Atlanta through Watchpoint, the only platform that allows the distribution multiscreen and multiplatform; or the demo of Ericsson Mediaroom, which used 13 million users around the world and which allows providers of content to generate new revenue and retain their users.
Cabe destacar, por ltimo, que tras la compra de Red Bee Media, Ericsson pretende llevar su negocio de servicios de radiodifusi n al siguiente nivel y ampliar su presencia global y es que, cada d a, millones de personas de todos los continentes ven programas de televisi n preparados, gestionados y difundidos por Ericsson. La compa a fue pionera en tecnolog as de compresi n de v deo que ahora, aplicadas a entornos de media y broadcast est n impulsando la digitalizaci n en televisi n permitiendo nuevas experiencias como alta definici n, la televisi n en cualquier lugar o la Ultra Alta Definici n.
