Forbes Names Dennis Phelps, Todd Chaffee, and Jules Maltz to the Midas List of 100 Best Venture Capitalists

Mr. Phelps has been on the Midas List three times before and he is ranked #18 on the list. Mr. Chaffee has been on the Midas List nine times and he is ranked #71 on the list this year. About Dennis Phelps

Mr. Phelps joined IVP in October 2001. He has 23 years of experience in technology-related finance. Dennis was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the top 100 venture capitalists in the world by his inclusion in the 2018, 2017, 2015, and 2009 Forbes Midas List. Dennis has led investments in Advent Software, Casper, Chordiant Software, DoubleVerify, Dropcam, Giphy, GroundTruth, The Honest Company, Klout, LifeLock, POPSUGAR, Quigo Technologies, Shazam, Snap, SoundCloud, SuccessFactors, SupportSoft, Synchronoss Technologies, Voxer, Yext, Yodlee, and ZEFR. About Todd Chaffee

Mr. Chaffee joined IVP as a Managing Director and General Partner in March 2000. He has been recognized by both Forbes and The New York Times as one of the world's top venture capitalists. He was selected for the Midas List of Top 10 Founder VCs and has appeared on every Forbes Midas List for the past nine years. He was also selected for The New York Times Top 100 Venture Capitalists in 2016 and 2017. Mr. Chaffee has led investments in many high profile companies such as Akamai, ArcSight, Ariba, Business Insider, Coinbase, Compass, ComScore, CyberSource, Digital River, Domo, General Assembly, HomeAway, Inspirato, Kayak, Klarna, Netflix, Nuance Communications, Omniture, Pandora, Twitter, VeriSign, and Yahoo. Prior to IVP, he was Executive Vice President of Visa where his responsibilities included overseeing Visa's Advanced Technology, Strategic Planning, Corporate Development, and Equity Investment divisions. Mr. Chaffee earned a B.S. with honors from the University of Minnesota Carlson Business School. About Jules Maltz

Mr. Maltz joined IVP in August 2008. He has over 12 years of venture capital and startup experience. Jules was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the top 100 venture capitalists by his inclusion in the Midas List in 2018. He was also included in the GrowthCap Top 40 Under 40 Growth Investors List in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Jules has led investments in Buddy Media, Checkr, Dropbox, Grammarly, Indiegogo, MuleSoft, NerdWallet, Oportun, RetailMeNot, Slack, SteelBrick, Tala, TransferWise, TuneIn, Zendesk, and Zenefits, and was actively involved in sourcing investments in Marketo, Spiceworks, Twitter, and Yext. Jules started his venture capital career at 3i. Jules also worked in business development for AdMob, a mobile advertising provider, and co-founded AdNectar, a social media advertising startup. Earlier in his career, Jules was in technology investment banking with Robertson Stephens and Bank of America Securities. Jules has an M.B.A. from Stanford University, where he was a Siebel Scholar and an Arjay Miller Scholar. He also graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.
