Instant Editing Support in Metus INGEST for Adobe Premiere Pro CC Software

In a news, sports or other production environment, operators often need to start editing material immediately as the event starts, and usually have their cuts ready by the time the event finishes. The ability to work with files that are growing in duration, even as they are ingested is critical, especially in fast turnaround workflows such as sports and live-to-broadcast shows. Formerly available only via top end dedicated capture servers, Metus INGEST now offers this as a standard feature for Adobe Premiere Pro users.

Adobe Premiere Pro CC is the software of choice for editors who expect the best in professional video editing, said Al Mooney, senior product manager, Professional Video Editing at Adobe. Today's announcement by Metus INGEST further extends the company's Premiere Pro integration. Their MAM plug-in makes the editing process even more seamless and eliminates network performance bottlenecks with the proxy editing feature.

With the instant editing support with Adobe Premiere Pro, editors can use Metus INGEST to capture XDCAM files in INGEST, open them in Adobe Premiere Pro and immediately start editing while the file is growing in the timeline.
