Vaddio Launches RoboSHOT IW Smart Glass PTZ Camera

Eden Prairie, MN (June 4, 2018) Vaddio introduced the RoboSHOT IW (In-Wall) HDBT Recessed HD PTZ Camera, which is designed with a smart glass cover for capturing conversations or video conferencing in room settings where interior design and privacy are important.

The smart glass cover changes from a frosted opaque when the camera is off to a transparent clear glass when the camera is powered on, said Jay Kilby, Director of Product Management at Vaddio. In addition to room aesthetics, this also easily informs room occupants whether or not the camera is active, making it an ideal solution for corporate board rooms, law offices, courtrooms, medical institutions and other rooms where sensitive information must be protected.

The RoboSHOT IW is designed to be recess-mounted, making it compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) standards for accessible design.

Designed with HDBaseT technology, RoboSHOT IW PTZ Cameras easily connect to Vaddio OneLINK extension systems or other HDBaseT-compatible devices to simplify cabling and extend video, power and control up to an installation distance of 328 feet (100 meters).

The RoboSHOT IW features 10x optical zoom with 1080p/60fps resolution and 16 camera presets, plus an intuitive web-based user interface for remote configuration, management and control. It provides automatic or manual color adjustments to adjust for image color, shading, backlight, and wide dynamic range to optimize color in different settings.

RoboSHOT IW is available in two configurations including the RoboSHOT IW OneLINK HDMI System or RoboSHOT IW OneLINK Bridge System. The frame is available in black or primed to paint to match room d cor. A clear glass version is also available.
