TAG Video Systems is teaming up with Zixi, the industry leader for enabling dependable, live broadcast-quality video over any-IP, to present a webinar focusing on the use of the public internet to transport and monitor professional, reliable, high-quality, low-latency video signals. Scheduled for Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:00 am Eastern, the session - Monitoring and Delivery Over IP - will illustrate how two best-in-class software-based solutions combine to provide a simplified system design that easily enables cloud-based applications, reduces costs, and allows proactive monitoring and delivery of live video at scale over IP.
TAG, the world leader in 100% SW, 100% IP, 100% COTS/Cloud, Probing, Monitoring and Multiviewing solutions, and Zixi, award winning architect of the Software-Defined Video Platform (SDVP), will tackle the concerns broadcasters and content owners face and the challenges they experience as the industry shifts toward virtualized cloud-based solutions. The event follows the recent announcement that TAG now supports Zixi on both input and output streams allowing customers to aggregate all sources into one visual mosaic monitoring platform.
Paul Briscoe, Chief Architect at TAG, and Ilan Torbaty, VP Global Technical Operations, will join Zixi's John Wastcoat, SVP Strategic Alliances, and Naytram Deonarain, Senior Solutions Engineer to provide viewers with real-life, easily obtainable options available to create a more agile infrastructure that results in reduced costs and increased flexibility without sacrificing Quality-of-Service and Experience. The team will discuss and use a live demo to show how TAG and Zixi s joint solution gives broadcasters and content distributors the abiity to use the public internet and unmanaged networks to transport professional, reliable broadcast-quality video signals with low-latency. It will also explain how the solution allows proactive monitoring and generates alerts on streams before they reach the end user.
The shift away from traditional, inflexible hardware-based infrastructures was underway but accelerated by the pandemic forcing a massive re-evaluation of options, explains Briscoe. To succeed in tomorrow's media landscape today, content owners and broadcasters need to move toward more flexible, software-defined solutions. This webinar will provide a blueprint that defines how simple and quick it is to set up a system and begin monitoring a mosaic comprised of all formats in minutes with reliable, user-friendly tools.
