Paris La D fense Arena was one of the places to be during Week 1 of the Paris 2024 Olympics: L on Marchand made history for France, lighting up the 30,000-strong crowd every time he hit the water. Producing swimming has come a long way, and this year's TV product shone with graphics overlays providing insight into how the swimmers were doing relative both to each other and to world-record and Olympic-record times. There were plenty of cameras to capture the action, from POV cameras embedded into the side of the pool to Steadicams, a rail cam, and, of course, the underwater cameras giving the coverage an extra level of cool.
