Arvato Systems replaces amor IT environment and processes with a single integrated business system for all core business activities

(Arvato Systems) G tersloh - Arvato Systems has provided significant support in the ongoing digitalization of commercial enterprise, amor. The implementation of an integrated system based on future-oriented SAP technologies for all business processes provides the foundation for the company's continued international growth. The goal of this major project was to build a digitalization platform which would respect the individual ecosystems existing at amor.
amor is the European market leader for medium priced genuine jewelry, and is active in more than 24 countries. Around 8 million pieces of jewelry are sold each year using multiple sales channels - retailers, department stores, jewelry shops and shopping centers. The vertically integrated commercial retailer has more than 9,000 products in its current range and this expands each year by around 800 new items.
Harmonizing the IT environment with the use of SAP core functionality for product line planning, purchasing, scheduling, manufacturing, sales, logistics, finance, subsidiary management and human resources has enabled amor to benefit from integrated, transparent business process management. The huge variety of product ranges as well as the central and at the same time individual management of sales spaces were particular challenges. Many elements had to be considered, including the integration of manufacturing and service processes; action planning for parallel planning and management of forward and reverse logistics as well as human resources. Relocation into a modern logistics center followed swiftly on from the full SAP implementation.

The move to SAP technologies has meant that we have been able to standardize amor's business processes, while at the same time taking into account and working with the company's own business model , says Frank Brinkmann, Vice President, Arvato Systems and responsible for project implementation. A strong spirit of trust between amor and Arvato Systems was an important element in the success of this project .
