Paul and Daniel Rem n won X award SGAEs screenplay Julio Alejandro El premio, entregado durante la gala de clausura del Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Huelva, est dotado con 25.000 euros y objetivo es fomentar la producci n de nuevos contenidos audiovisuales y potenciar la calidad de la literatura cinematogr fica.

Mala cosecha, de Pablo y Daniel Rem n (Madrid), ha resultado ganador del X Premio SGAE de Gui n Julio Alejandro, que convoca la Fundaci n SGAE. El premio, entregado durante la gala de clausura del Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Huelva, est dotado con 25.000 euros y objetivo es fomentar la producci n de nuevos contenidos audiovisuales y potenciar la calidad de la literatura cinematogr fica.

Estamos encantados, no lo esper bamos, es un lujo ganar un premio como el Julio Alejandro, cuando Bu uel y Berlanga siempre han sido nuestros grandes referentes. Que se nos relacione con un escritor de la talla de Julio Alejandro nos hace felices: para nosotros escribir guiones es escribir un g nero literario como cualquier otro , subraya Pablo Rem n.

Coautor junto a su hermano Daniel de los guiones de las pel culas Mundo Fant stico, Casual Day y Cinco metros Cuadrados, adelanta los planes que tienen para Mala Cosecha: Queremos reescribirlo y que se convierta en una pieza literaria y cinematogr fica con entidad propia. A partir de ah , que cobre vida en pantalla con unos actores que hagan justicia a estos personajes que nos han acompa ado durante tantos a os .

El jurado del X Premio SGAE de Gui n Julio Alejandro ha estado compuesto por Judith Colell (cineasta y vicepresidenta de la Academia de las Artes y las CC. Cinematogr ficas de Espa a); Ignacio Mart nez de Pis n (novelista y guionista); y Silvia Munt (cineasta y actriz), y ha sido presidido por la cineasta In s Par s que, como directora institucional de Audiovisuales de la Fundaci n SGAE, ser la encargada de entregar el galard n a los ganadores.

Adem s de Mala cosecha, de Pablo y Daniel Rem n, los otros dos guiones finalistas han sido La vida era eso, de David Mart n de los Santos (Madrid); y El ataque, de Marc Betriu (L rida), seleccionados de un total de 220 trabajos que se han presentado a esta X edici n procedentes de Espa a e Iberoam rica.

Mala cosecha, de Pablo y Daniel Rem n, narra, en tono social e introspectivo, el intento de reinserci n de un adolescente marginal, que ha estado en un reformatorio acusado de asesinato, y que ahora regresa a su barriada. Despu s de dos a os en el reformatorio, el Chino vuelve a su pueblo. Solo quiere pedir perd n y empezar de cero. Pero no es f cil: qui n va a escuchar a un asesino? , esboza la sinopsis del gui n.

Es la historia de alguien que busca perd n y de alguien que perdona. Es una historia visceral y personal, m s sentida que pensada. Es algo que llevamos dentro y que tardamos mucho tiempo en sacar. No es una historia m s; es nuestra historia , destaca Rem n.

La ECAM, hace escuela

Los hermanos Rem n estudiaron en la Escuela de Cine de la Comunidad de Madrid (ECAM). Juntos han escrito ya los guiones de tres pel culas dirigidas por Max Lemcke: Mundo Fant stico (2003), seleccionada en el Festival Karlovy Vary y el Festival Cin ma Tous- crans de Ginebra; Casual Day (2008), seleccionada en el Festival de San Sebasti n y galardonada con el premio a Mejor Pel cula y Mejor Gui n, por el C rculo de Escritores Cinematogr ficos; y Cinco Metros Cuadrados, seleccionada en el Festival de Montreal y Mejor Pel cula, Mejor Gui n y Premio de la Cr tica, en el Festival de M laga.

Guiones premiados en la gran pantalla

Algunas de las obras ganadoras de otros a os se han estrenado en la gran pantalla. Tal es el caso de Paisito (Tornasol Films), dirigida por Ana D ez sobre el texto galardonado de Ricardo Fern ndez Blanco; Todos tenemos un plan (Haddock Films), de Ana Piterbarg, que llev al cine el gui n con el que se proclam vencedora en la V edici n; Miel de naranjas (Alta Films), gui n de la andaluza Remedios Crespo que gan el VI Premio SGAE Julio Alejandro en 2009, y que fue filmado por Imanol Uribe. Actualmente, dos obras m s que obtuvieron este premio est n produci ndose: Cuando los caballos aprendieron a llorar, por la que el mejicano Jano Mendoza se alz con el VIII Premio SGAE de Gui n Julio Alejandro para Largometraje en 2011, y El acompa ante, gui n del cubano P vel Giroud, ganador en 2010.
