Neotecnica concludes in Madrid early in the presentation of the new Avid system S3L roadshow Neot cnica ha concluido esta semana en Madrid las primeras etapas de su roadshow en el que ha presentado todo un nuevo referente entre los sistemas compactos de mezcla para directo, con procesamiento HDX para mezcla y plug-ins, y la capacidad de alcanzar configuraciones de hasta 64 entradas/32 salidas remotas.
Tras su paso por Bilbao, Murcia, Valencia, Santiago de Compostela y Oviedo, Neotecnica han concluido esta semana en Madrid las primeras etapas de su roadshow para presentar el nuevo sistema S3L de Avid. Neot cnica ha concluido as la primera etapa de esta gira en la que los profesionales han podido conocer en sesiones de formaci n de dos horas todos los secretos de este nuevo sistema para mezcla.
Todo un nuevo referente entre los sistemas compactos de mezcla para directo, con procesamiento HDX para mezcla y plug-ins, y la capacidad de alcanzar configuraciones de hasta 64 entradas/32 salidas remotas, la nueva soluci n de Avida aporta otras caracter sticas nicas como la grabaci n directa de 64 canales a Pro Tools (u otras DAW Asio) mediante un nico cable Ethernet, as como la posibilidad de controlar Pro Tools o cualquier DAW compatible con Eucon.
Este nuevo sistema altamente flexible y escalable funciona con el software Venue, lo que garantiza la compatibilidad de shows con los reconocidos sistemas D-Show, Profile, Profile Mix Rack y SC48.
Procesamiento, control y rack remoto
El sistema Venue S3L se basa en tres elementos principales: unidad de procesamiento, superficie de control y rack remoto de entradas/salidas.
As , en el coraz n del sistema se encuentra la unidad de procesamiento E3, que funciona con el reconocido software Venue como centro de control de todo el sistema. La unidad E3 incorpora procesamiento HDX, compatible con plug-ins AAX DSP, y est equipada con tres puertos Gigabit Ethernet AVB, con conectores de seguridad EtherCON. Cuenta asimismo con un puerto Ethernet espec fico para el control a distancia mediante un un port til o tablet.
El rack remoto de entradas/salidas Stage 16 cuenta con 16 entradas anal gicas en formato XLR con control remoto del previo de micr fono. Cuenta tambi n con ocho salidas de l nea en formato XLR y cuatro canales de salida digital AES3. Su chasis, muy resisitente, cuenta con dos robustas asas laterales que facilitan su transporte, o bien, permiten su colocaci n en rack. Es posible configurar sistemas de 1, 2, 3 y hasta 4 racks remotos (sistemas S3L 16, S3L 32, S3L 48 y S3L 64).
Much more than a driver
Finalmente, la superficie de control S3 cuenta con 16 faders, con seis capas agrupables en bancos. Tiene tambi n 32 encoders t ctiles y pantallas OLED de alta resoluci n, bien visibles incluso a plena luz del d a. Y algo que hace nica a la superficie S3 es el hecho de que no solo se trata del controlador de este sofisticado sistema de mezcla para directo. Se trata tambi n de un controlador para Pro Tools y otras DAW compatibles con protocolo EUCON. Esto supone un aut ntico hito en flexibilidad y amortizaci n del capital invertido. Otro punto sobresaliente es el peso de la superficie S3, que es de apenas 6,2 kilogramos.
El nuevo sistema Venue S3L trabaja con el software Venue 4, que a ade importantes mejoras tales como: grabaci n y reproducci n de dos pistas directamente a una memoria USB est ndar. Esta caracter stica es controlable desde la nueva p gina Media , que ofrece controles de transporte (reproducci n, grabaci n, parada, etc.) para dicho soporte. Otra caracter stica de gran relevancia del software Venue 4 es el Virtual Soundcheck mejorado; ahora las pistas de entrada desde Pro Tools se pueden escoger de manera selectiva. De este modo, parte de la banda puede probar con m sicos reales en el escenario, mientras que las restantes pistas pueden reproducirse desde Pro Tools.
