Changes in the management of Magyar Telekom

Magyar Telekom announces that current Chief Financial Officer Thilo Kusch will take over the position of Executive Member of the Board of Directors in function of Chief Executive Officer of Macedonia's largest telecommunications service provider, Makedonski Telekom AD, a Magyar Telekom Group company. Thilo Kusch has been also elected President of the Board of Directors of T-Mobile Macedonia. Jnos Szab, current Controlling Director of Magyar Telekom will take over the role of CFO of Magyar Telekom, he will also become a member of Magyar Telekom's Management Committee.

These changes will be effective from April 8, 2013. The Board of Directors of Magyar Telekom, as well as the Shareholders' Assembly and the Board of Directors of Makedonski Telekom and T-Mobile Macedonia have taken the relevant decisions on these matters on March 28 and 29, 2013, respectively.

Christopher Mattheisen, Magyar Telekom's Chairman and CEO said: I would like to express my thanks to Thilo Kusch for his outstanding achievements here as Magyar Telekom's CFO. The Company has witnessed a period of great change since his appointment in 2006 and the finance function that he built up has provided a level of support that has been second to none. Furthermore, Thilo's innovative and forward-looking approach has been influential in transforming Magyar Telekom into the customer focused organisation that it is today. We will continue to benefit from his expertise as he will remain to sit on Magyar Telekom's Board of Directors.I would also like to welcome Jnos Szab to Magyar Telekom's top management team. As the Company's new CFO, Jnos will have the opportunity to build on his years of experience as a successful financial executive to manage the challenges and tasks that lie ahead.

Jnos Szab (52) studied foreign relations at the University of Economics in Budapest. Starting his career in foreign services, he continued in various finance, accounting and consultant positions in the private business sector. He went on and took various senior management positions in finance and business at the Hungarian subsidiary and the European head office of Delco Remy, an American automotive industry supplier. Later he became CFO and managing director of a joint venture between Delco Remy and Hitachi. He joined Magyar Telekom in 2003 as the Finance Director of the Fixed Line Services of Business. In 2008 he became the Group Controlling Director of Magyar Telekom. Besides the continuous renewal of the controlling activity and the strengthening of the international cooperation he also took part in the management of key operational and strategic corporate projects. Jnos Szab is a member of the Board of Directors of Makedonski Telekom, T-Mobile Macedonia, Crnogorski Telekom and Origo Zrt.
